Ralynn had four great loves that made her who she was: God,
figure skating, medical school, and compassion for people,
especially children.
Starting at the tender age of six, Ralynn achieved and progressed as a
competitive figure skater in all the disciplines of the sport: singles, pairs, dance and synchro team. After her competitive skating came to an end, Ralynn toured as a professional with the Nutcracker on Ice and later began teaching. Winning many titles and awards in all, she brought her talents and love of skating into teaching. As a professional and choreographer, Ralynn worked her way through college and then on to medical school.
Ralynn was a member of the Broadmoor Figure Skating Club and the
Professional Skaters Association for many years and was best known in
the skating world for her outstanding choreography and dedication to her
students. She shared God's love with all of those she touched through
encouraging and providing counsel to her students, friends, family and
patients. Ralynn will always be remembered by the children she taught
as she loved each one as an individual and made sure they knew they
were special! She had a knack with her Adult students too and loved
them all. Ralynn is often described by those who knew her as loving,
kind, full of high spirit, an encourager, and gifted with wisdom.
One of her greatest desires was that all the young people she did
choreography for and coached through their skating tests and school work,
would have a dream and a passion that they too would follow some day.
She loved them all and I'm sure is still cheering for them!
